I am the proud grandmother of two super kids. Healy is 6,and
she starts first grade this year in Fergus Falls, MN, and Jace
is 2.He is quite a little sweetie!! I live about an hour west of them
, so I get to visit and pamper them on a regular basis.
My husband, Bruce, and I retired about 18 months ago, so we are traveling and
enjoying the things that go along with retirement. This fall, we are headed to
New England for a two week driving trip. Hope to see LOTS of lighthouses. I
enjoy crafts, sewing, and Poker. I travel a lot around the US playing in poker
tournaments. This hobby was acquired about five years ago, and I find it to be
great fun! I have three sons, two are married, and my youngest coaches football
at Northern State Univ. in Aberdeen, SD. My middle son is the father of my
grandchildren, and he is attending nursing school right now, but he is a
paramedic when not in school. My oldest son teaches school in Bella Vista, AK.
His wife is a buyer for the Wal-Mart Corp. I also have a stepdaughter who lives
in Iowa City, and a stepson who is a second year medical student at UofND. I
have lost touch with most if not all of my high school friends, so I urge any of
you toemail me so we can get re-acquainted.

Went to Northwestern for a while, quit and came back to Shreveport and worked
for a while, then went into the Air Force Reserves as an air evacuation medic.
I married in June 1969 to Paula Hutchins. I went to work for the
Shreveport Fire Department in 1971 and had a life changing experience - I got
saved. I am a born again believer in Jesus Christ. Also in 1971 we
brought our daughter, Angela Dee, into the world and then in 1973 we had a son,
Christopher Patrick.
In 1982 and 1983 I went through some of the toughest
times of my life - a divorce. I got both of my children. Then in
1984 I married Nancy Tonsman. She had two children, daughter, Casie and
son, Vaughn. Together we raised the four children and they are ours.
All four are now married. Angela and husband, Patrick Wilson, have three
children, Matthew - 7, Grace - 4, and Christopher - 18 months. They live
in Baton Rouge and are members of Park View Baptist Church. Chris and
Heather are in Shreveport and are members of Summer Grove Baptist. Vaughn
and Jennifer and their 6 month old daughter, McKinley, are also members of
Summer Grove Baptist Church. Casie and Cass Jefcoat are in Ruston and
attend First Baptist there.
I retired from the Shreveport Fire Department in 1998
and I am presently working on my certification as a residential real estate
appraiser. Nancy and I are active members of Summer Grove Baptist.
I enjoy hunting, fishing and most of all helping with the grandchildren.
Both sons work for the Shreveport Fire Department. Angela is a first grade
teacher and Casie is in graduate school at Louisiana Tech for Speech Pathology.
Hope to see you at the reunion.

To make a long story short: (yeah, right) After Woodlawn, attended La Tech with some of my best friends from high
school. After Tech, worked for my dad at Brown Electric, then went to work for Texas Eastern Transmission and eventually spent 13 years in Houston.
After TETCO laid me off, I packed up and moved back to Shreveport where I went into partnership with my little brother and formed United Electric
Motor Service which is where I am now. In the meantime I met and married my wife, Marijo, and had a son, Taylor,
almost 11 now. We live in Dogwood Park with 2 dogs and 2 cats. Life is good.

Hi Woodlawner alumni. 34 years since graduation?!? That can’t be right can it? I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email from Jim Steward. Before I say anything I should say THANK YOU to those of you on the committee for putting forth all this effort,…..for us. I personally appreciate it and feel a sense of pride and indebtedness to you. Thanks for the memories. Where do I begin? Much water has flowed under this bridge. Well, after 4 years in the military and the last year of it being Viet Nam, I was honorably discharged and sent home to Shreveport. I attended LSU for 4 years while working at GE in management. Then GM hired me as an engineer, a job I held for 8 years or so. Then I was promoted to GM Fort Wayne assembly. I am currently with GM headquarters Detroit as the Regional Service Program Manager of all GM Truck programs in the field of Advanced serviceability engineering. Between Ft. Wayne and Detroit I was with GM in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Chicago, Illinois. Oh yeah, had a special assignment in Beijing, China during that time to develop a business case and plan for the establishment of GM service centers across China. The first one was built, is operational, and a model for many more to be built. Was an interesting assignment. Somewhere in the middle of all that I went back to college and completed a Master of Sc! ience degree in Industrial management and Organization development at Indiana Wesleyan University. Enough about work, on to the most important things in my life, my family. My daughter, Kim, is now 25 years old, married and living in Dayton, Ohio. She is pursuiing an early childhood development education. She loves children and loves to teach. Kim’s husband, Joe is a technician in a local Saturn dealership and is pursuiing an automotive technology degree at Sinclair college. Joe is a fine son-in-law. My son, Chad, is now 29 years old, married and lives in Middletown, Ohio. He is a supervisor with GM in the Moraine, Ohio assembly plant. Chad’s wife Jill is a nurse and a very smart one at that. Chad and Jill have two children, Blake (almost 4) and Mallie (almost 1). For those of you that are grandparents, I don’t have to tell you. These little one’s will give you more love and enjoyment than you can imagine. I enjoyed raising my children and love them dearly but there’s something different in God’s blessing here. My number one mainstay in all this is my wife, Mary Ann. We have been married nearly 34 years. We have been through the highs and lows of life with more highs than lows. God has blessed us well.

Hi everyone. Haven't made it to any of the reunions so far, but will try
to make this one. After graduation, I went on to NSU and graduated with a
B.S. in Business. Then served one term in the Air Force working in
Treasury Services. I then moved to Houston, Texas where I lived for the
next 23 years. My career has been in healthcare and I was the Controller
for Financial Operations for Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston
before relocating to Washington, DC. I served as the Senior Operating
Officer for Hospital Finance at Georgetown University Hospital. I just
moved about 15 months ago to Portland, Oregon and am now working for Oregon
Health & Science University. It would be great to see you later this
year.
