most of my time on my 380 acre farm, I grow pine trees and have oil and gas
production. In 1999 I got bored and went to work part time at LA Downs for the
past two years it has been a full time job. I really like what I do there and
we have a lot of new projects coming soon out there. God has been good to me.

Hey everyone, hope things are just the way you want them and if you don't know who the hell I am don't worry. All I ever wanted out of school was to get out of school and see what comes next. But I do remember you and those years (wonder who put those M-80 under Mr. Lawrence's class, that tin shack?). Life: 4yrs USN. 21yrs Shreveport FD. 29 yrs married. 10 cars, 8 trucks, 4 vans, 1 Harley (back before everyone knew Harleys were cool). A trailer house, A old house, A new house, A house in Yuma, AZ. (what was I thinking), A house in Marshall, TX., A new house in Keithville, A house in Shreveport. Damn, no wonder I don't have any money. Its been good and fun, its been bad and hard but it all got me here and instead of there. I would do it all again, not to do it different but to just pay more attention of every minute of it. I mean this is my life and I think I slept through a few days of it dreaming or worrying about what would come next. Touch everything you can touch, taste everything you can taste, feel everything you can feel.

After graduating I spent 4 years in the Army as a Military Policeman, stationed in Germany. While home on leave in February of 1971, I met my wife Anita Cox who was a 1966 Graduate of Woodlawn. After being discharged on Sept 21, 1971, Anita and I were married on Oct 2nd. We have 1 daughter, Courtney, who graduated Feb 28, 2001 from La Tech in Ruston with a RN degree. She got married in November to a great young man named Gorden, who is studying to be a veterinarian. I now have the son I never had. I worked 5 1/2 years as a police officer in Shreveport after I got out of the military. In 1975 I received my Masters Degree in B. S. In 1978 I left the police department and got into the automobile business. Also in 1978 I received my PHD in B. S. I now own a small used car lot on W. 70th Street in Shreveport. I also have a small e-business. www.usedkarfinder.com . I build websites in my spare time. I designed the website that you are viewing now. Hoping for a good turnout at our reunion next year.
UPDATE: Larry Coker (Diane Evans' husband) and I have formed a company, Cajun Webmasters, to try to get in on the internet boom. If you ever need a web site designed, we are the ones to see. Here is a list of the sites we have on the web thus far.

I was in sales for over 20 years. But I always felt that I was supposed
to be doing something else. So a little over four years ago I made a big
change. I decided to quit my job and go back college. Lot's of you
fellow Knights actually encouraged me to do it. During our last reunion I had talked to many of you who had done the same thing. I
owe you a big
THANKS. You gave me the courage to do it. I graduated from the University
of Memphis on May 4, 2001 with a major in Education. Having a blast teaching 7th
graders all about Science.

Only attended WHS half of junior year and then graduated with class of '67
soooo for those who knew me then....
Married Rodney in '68 and we have three beautiful daughters and three
beautiful grandchildren, all girls of course! The next angel will arrive
in April and you guessed it....a girl! Even our dog is a female!
Rodney and I have spent our entire married life in Alexandria. I have
managed a thoroughbred farm where the horses were bred and trained for the
track or for steeplechase. From there I was a legal secretary until my
third child and then I "retired"!
We have had all of the usual good and bad times but we allowed them to make us
stronger not weaker. In reading others information sheets I noticed that
there were others in my "sorority".....the breast cancer battle.
I was diagnosed in 2000 and am doing great.
Rodney retired after I was diagnosed so that we could be together more and
enjoy life. So...now we spend out time in Dallas, Colorado and of course
our haven, Florida. We have a condo in Navarre Beach and it is a place
of peace and a source of contentment. Oh yes, and we kept our place here
in Alexandria cause we have to check up on our children and spoil our
grandchildren.
I haven't kept up with anyone but Art McGee contacted me and brought me
up-to-date on many of you. I love to get emails and have a real sick
sense of humor (ask Art!) so feel free to get in touch. We are planning
to come to the reunion.....gotta see what life has done to Art!!!!!! See
ya in June!

After graduation from high school, I attended Louisiana Tech and received a
BFA in interior design. Upon graduation from Tech, I married and had two
children, Amy(30) and Brooks(25). After my divorce I started my business,
Glass House Designs, and practiced interior design in Shreveport. In 1998 I
married Don Ross and now live near Boston, MA in an antique house built in
1708. I still have my interior design business and some of my work can be
viewed on my web page (www.glasshouse-designs.com).
I am now a proud grandmother of a 16 month old boy named Will Caverlee who
lives in Dallas with his mom, Amy and father, John. So far, life has
been good to me.
